Established in 1980 by its founder Mr. Moise Hasrouny, the company began its operations selling and repairing paper punch readers for CNC machine tools. Shortly thereafter, an expansion made it possible for Megatel to acquire the distribution rights for the Japax Wire EDM line for Quebec and Ontario. More than 200 Wire EDMs are sold in a short time span establishing Megatel as a serious Machine tool dealer. With the success of this venture, Megatel started increasing its product line to include CNC Machining Centers. The Takumi Seiki line from Taiwan is what really put Megatel on the map. With its remarkable cost-quality benefit and backed with a full two (2) years warranty, Megatel rapidly started flooding machine shops with the popular V8A (32’’ x 20’’) and V11A (43’’ x 22’’) models. In 1996 Megatel finally decided to open its first office in Mississauga, Ontario to better serve its existing customer and to answer the increase in demand.

Today, Megatel is one of the most reliable Machine-Tool distributors in Canada. We are specialized in CNC Machining Centers, Boring Mills, 5 Axis Machines and CNC Turning Centers. With reputable lines such as Takumi Seiki, SNK Nissin, Parpas, Awea and Ecoca, we have now sold over 1500 units in the last 15 years in multiple fields and industries such as aerospace, automotive, oil, medical and many others.
